No, we’re not going crazy. Pepper Jam has been conquering the taste of pub customers for its eccentric mix of sweet flavor with the burning of one of the hottest peppers there is: the red pepper. And with our cheese roll… That blend gets even better! It’s worth trying.
2 cups of sugar
½ cup of white vinegar
4 tbsp of chopped seedless red pepper
Lemon juice (1 lemon)
½ envelope of colorless non-flavored jelly powder
On a pan, heat up the sugar, the vinegar and pepper. As soon as it boils, take it off the fire.
Add the lemon juice and take it back to the fire for 2 minutes, stirring non-stop.
Low the heat and add the jelly stirring until it thickens. Remove from the fire and let it cool.
Serve the next day alongside the Mineirinho cheese roll of your preference.
Such a recipe deserves upscale drinks, like a good wine or sparkling. You can fill the cheese rolls or simply leave the jelly in a side dish so everyone can put as much as they want.
